The Great Pop vs. Soda Controversy - What Do You Call It? -
ABSTRACT Using the World Wide Web to gather and process data from across English-speaking North America, I intend to plot the regional variations in the use of the terms “Pop” and “Soda” to describe carbonated soft drinks.
CONCLUSION People who say “Pop” are much, much cooler.
The simple life is overrated, it’s just too complicated. — Charles Osgood
I was walking outside and I jumped into my sandbox and I noticed I wasn’t home. I was at Mohangic. A big magic place. A castle was put there last year and I saw I wasn’t alone. A beautiful unicorn was standing in front of me. A beautiful saddle was placed on her back. Suddenly, I felt hungry but I didn’t dare ask. A strange bird floated to the ground. It’s big, beautiful eyes seemed to sparkle. I walked closer and put out my hand. It came closer, it reared. I hopped on the unicorn. She started to canter. Finally, she stopped. I got of. A beautiful horse with wings was standing in front of me. I get on cautiously. It’s wings flap. It gets higher and higher. Suddendly I saw the strange bird again. It gave me nuts and a tin cup of water. We stop by a palace and suddenly strange men appear. They have horse legs and body and men chests and faces. I flew back on and we flew to a place I haven’t seen before. I stepped down and got in and I was in my sandbox. I still was terrified though. I ate dinner as soon as I came in the house.
